About:
Phronexis is a Thrash Metal band from La Paz, Bolivia, originally formed by Alvin Phronexis (Álvaro Núñez) in 2017, who handled all instruments in the band's early days.
In 2020, Phronexis released "Pestiferous" as a one-man band. This album was the culmination of all ideas worked on from 2015 to 2019, prior to the band's formation. The first LP was released by the Hungarian label Old Skull Productions on tape, and the Chilean label SepulcroProducciones released a CD edition.
Throughout 2022/2023, the EP "Bodies Go Here" was released on tape through a collaboration between The Foul Swamp Productions and Maniac Force Records. During this time, the band had many more performances alongside various foreign and local bands. The most notable performance took place alongside Toxic Holocaust in October 2022.
The band has evolved over the years with several lineup changes. Phronexis has become one of the most consistent acts in Bolivian thrash metal and is the only Bolivian band to play at the legendary Saint Vitus Bar in the USA. Phronexis has also played in countries like Chile, Mexico, and Peru.
